The RISAA Bluefish tournament starts Friday May 29th at 6am and ends Sunday June 7th at 6pm. Participants may fish from a boat, a kayak or the shore.
This will be a team and singles event.
NEW TO THIS YEAR, we will be trialing the use of the GotOne app and everyone will be registering for the tournament and entering their catches through the GotOne app. This requires the tournament participant to have a cellphone with access to the internet while on the water. Also new to this year, entries will be based on length, NOT weight. You will not need to go to a weigh station, but you will need a measuring device (ruler, tape, or bump board). Click HERE for instructions on how to download the GoneOne app and how to register for the tournament. THE ACCESS CODE TO REGISTER FOR THE TOURNAMENT IS LOCATED WITHIN THE INSTRUCTIONS. Submissions outside of using the GotOne app will NOT be accepted. If you wish to enter your bluefish for the RISAA hall of fame consideration which is still based on weight, you will have to additionally weigh your fish at an approved weigh station and submit your entry to the RISAA website within 24 hours of weigh-in.
The top 4 longest fish will be counted for teams and the top 2 for singles. In case of a tie, the fish entered via the GotOne app first wins. Prizes for the top 5 spots in each category. 1st-$100, 2nd-$75, 3rd-$50, 4th $30, 5th-$20. Prizes are awarded to each winning participant in the form of a voucher to members favorite RISAA affiliated bait/tackle shop.
All entries must be registered via the GotOne app by 6PM on June 7th. Any entries submitted outside of the tournament start and stop date and times will not be counted. Sponsors of junior members may enter fish on the juniors behalf. A picture of the entire fish, including the measurement, must be submitted with each entry AND must be legible or it will not count.
