April 2025 Seminar – Squid Fishing with Tommy Wood

This will be a hands-on event where members will learn to tie knots, create fishing rigs, and more. All materials will be provided by RISAA and members will be able to take home all fishing rigs and other items they create.

Local Experts Matt and Elyse Conti will be sharing tips and information on how to maintain reels.

Local Angling Celebrities Jeff Sullivan and Paul Chapman will be providing a presentation on surf – wetsuit fishing in Rhode Island.

Captain Mike Littlefield will be providing tips on how to improve your tautog angling season this fall.

Barry and Roger have been clam digging for over 40 years together. They are both retired and get out every chance they can. They both enjoy being on and in the water digging up those delicious shellfish. They will be sharing what equipment to use along with how and where to use it. They will also cover the rules and areas that shell fishing is allowed.

Richard has been a member for 23 years. He previously served on the Board in 2017, 2018 and currently. He was Chair and Vice Chair of the Surfcasters Committee and also serves on both the Legislative and Youth Fishing Camp Committees. Rich will be talking about why he uses big plugs to catch big fish.
