On Day 1, all children will have shore-based instruction from RIDEM staff, Coast Guard Auxiliary, and RISAA members, plus learning to cast and fish from shore. *

On Day 2, all children will board a charter bus and be transported to the port of Galilee where they will board the professional fishing boat, Frances Fleet for several hours of fishing. While on board the children will receive a free sandwich, chips and a bottle of water or ginger ale. They will return in time for parent's pickup at 3:30pm. *

On Day 3, all children will be taken by charter bus to Brewer Greenwich Bay marina and fish on RISSA members' boats for the day in local waters near Rocky Point and Greenwich Bay. Box lunches will be provided. *

On Day 1, children will be fed at noon, served by a professional caterer, a buffet meal consisting of chicken fingers, pizza squares, hot dogs, mac & cheese, chips, cookies, brownies and bottled water *

Photos and videos are taken during the Fishing Camp. These may be used to promote the camp, RISAA, and related activities through RISAA's website, monthly magazine, and social media. *

Parental Release of Liability

This 2025 Youth Fishing Camp is sponsored by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association (RISAA), the R.I. Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) and the City of Warwick, RI . This event will be staffed by RISAA members, all of whom are volunteering their boats, talent, time and dedication to the youth of our state, and also by members of RIDEM. We all hope that this experience will instill in them a lifelong appreciation for the marine environment.

Whereas, each of the undersigned individuals is desirous of participating in activities offered by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, its members, assigns, or other such individuals acting under and through said Association, and;Whereas, each participant is doing so entirely upon his or her initiative, risk and responsibility and;Whereas, each of the undersigned and for those individuals for whom they sign, are fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent in fishing and boating activities as offered by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association. Now therefore, in consideration of the right to participate in any and all activities offered by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, whether with or without charge, each of the undersigned individually, and/or as a representative of and on behalf of his or her spouse, child or ward or other such individual over whom they may have authority, on their own behalf and on behalf of those persons herein named or over whom they have representative capacity, hereby release Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, their officers, directors, members, associates, employees, agents, servants or the like from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever of any and all nature or sort arising out of or in anyway related to any loss, damage, injury including fatal injury and/or property damage sustained while participating in any and all activities offered by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association and/or its officers, directors, members, associates, employees, agents, servants or the like, whether or not caused by the negligence of the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association and/or its officers, directors, members, associates, employees, agents, servants or the like or by failure of equipment associated with the offered activity. This Release shall be binding upon the spouse, heirs, legal representatives, next of kin, executors and administrators of each of the undersigned both individually and on behalf of those persons over whom they have a representative capacity.

In signing this Release, each of the undersigned on their behalf and on behalf of those over which they have a representative capacity, acknowledges and represents that he/she has read the foregoing Release, understands and signs it voluntarily, that he/she is at least eighteen (18) years of age and of sound mind; that he/she is free of any impediment and/or impairment which would effect their understanding and ability to execute this Release and that he/she agrees to follow any and all instructions and/or requirements of participation imposed by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, the R.I. Department of Environmental Management, State of Rhode Island and/or its officers, staff, directors, members, associates, employees, agents, servants or the like while participating in any of the a fore described activities.
