Fisheries and Marine Sciences Scholarship

The Fisheries and Marine Sciences Education scholarship is awarded to any high school senior who will be attending either the University of Rhode Island or Roger Williams University in a Fisheries or Marine Sciences program within 1 year. These scholarships are supported by the RISA Foundation.

Three $500 Scholarships are awarded and recipients do not have to be connected with RISAA in any way.

As part of completing the application below, you will need to upload three essays:

• A short composition describing your reasons for applying, your interest in marine science and your plans and goals for the future.
• Your personal essay from the common application.
• A list of personal achievements while in high school.

Both you and one of your parents must sign this application online. After completing the application, please have a copy of your high school transcript and at least one letter of recommendation sent electronically to David Michel (michel@risaa.org).
