Boating Safety Stories and Tips

April 25 @ 7:00 pm

Capt. Mike Littlefield has over 30 years at sea as a Captain in the US Merchant Marine and has held the wheel through some of the roughest and most stressful conditions a Captain can face.

From gales to onboard fires and Pahn-Pahn rescues there is little Capt. Mike hasn’t seen or been part of. Mike currently owns and operates a USCG approved training school called the Narragansett Bay Maritime Training in Portsmouth RI.

He will share with RISAA members practical tips, stories from the helm and basic boating safety. If you haven’t yet spent a evening with Mike listening to his seafaring adventures, you are in for a treat.

Special Notice – In person seminars are back!

This is the first in-person seminar we plan to have post COVID, back at the Elks Lodge. We plan to have food available at 5:30 pm as in the past and plan to tape the seminar for members who were not able to attend.
Please visit our in-person events page for details.
