Yearlong Special Weigh-In
Governors Cup Angler of the Year Hall of Fame

The Yearlong Tournament is a continuing tournament that runs from January 1 to December 31 each year. All RISAA members are eligible to participate. There are no fees. Official weight slips are available at each monthly meeting, at most sanctioned bait shops, or by calling the RISAA office at 401-826-2121. Only authorized weigh-in stations with certified digital scales may be used. A list of weigh-in stations are posted below and are listed in the RISAA newsletter. There are two categories: ADULT and JUNIOR member. There are also two divisions within each category: BOAT and SHORE. A complete list of tournament rules are printed on the back of all Entry Forms.
The following awards will be presented in each division:
Adult Member - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
Junior Member - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place

within 24 hours of the weigh-in.

Junior entries must only satisfy state legal size minimums.

SPECIAL TOURNAMENTS

- All Special Tournaments commence at 5:00 P.M. on Friday and end promptly at 7:00 P.M. on the final day (unless noted).

- Entries MUST be weighed in by 7:00 P.M. on the final day and members MUST PHONE THE RISAA OFFICE within twenty-four (24) hours of the time weighed.

- Entry Forms for all Special Tournaments must be mailed and postmarked within seven (7) days of the date weighed.

- There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Adult and Junior Members in both Boat and Shore Divisions.

- The minimum sizes for all Special Tournaments shall be the legal Rhode Island recreational minimums.

Winter Flounder Tournament - (May 2 - 11)
* Narragansett Bay closed to Winter Flounder fishing
Spring Tautog Tournament - (May 16 - 25)
Row, Row, Row Your Boat Striped Bass Tournament - (May 30 - June 6)
Spring Striped Bass Tournament - (June 13 - 22)
Fluke Tournament - (June 27 - July 6)
Adult / Junior Team Scup - (July 5 - 6)
One or two adults with Junior member. 4 fish total weight. Requires minimum two-member teams to participate.
Registration deadline: June 27
Shore Bass/Blue Combo (no boat)- (July 11 - 20)
Individual anglers.  Must enter a bluefish AND a striper to qualify.  Total weight.
Team Fluke Challenge - (July 26 - 27)
Special 2-angler TEAM tournament. Pre-registration required. Top four (4) fish
entered. Special slips supplied. Registration deadline: July 19
Junior Catch & Release All-Species Tourney - (August 2 - 3)
Special slips required. Adult member must be present during tourney.
Bluefish/Striped Bass Combo Tournament (August 8 - 17)
Each angler must enter a bluefish AND striped bass to qualify. Total weight.
MultiSpecies Team Trifecta - (August 22 - 24))
Pre-Registration required.  Two-member teams.  Must enter one each, any three
(black sea bass, bluefish, fluke, scup, squeteague, striped bass).

Bluefish Tournament - (August 29 - September 7)
Fall Bluefish/Striper Catch & Release Tournament - (Sept 19 - 21)
Special slips supplied. Requires minimum two-member teams to participate.
Registration deadline: September 12
Black Sea Bass Tournament - (September 26 - October 5)
Fall Striped Bass Tournament - (October 10 - 19)
Fall Tautog Tournament - (October 24 - November 2)
